STEEL RIVER PLAYHOUSE PRESENTS
SHE LOVES ME (The 1993 Revival Version)
Directed by John D. DiFerdinando
Musical Direction by Julie Eurillo
Choreographed by Dann Dunn
Book by Joe Masteroff
Music by Jerry Bock
Lyrics by Sheldon Harnick
Based on a Play by Miklos Laszlo
In this scented case of mistaken identity and letter writing, two feuding perfume clerks have no idea they are in love. An intimate and touching show, featuring music by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler On The Roof) and book by Joe Masteroff (Cabaret), She Loves Me was nominated for five TONY Awards in 1964, the 1993 Broadway revival won the Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival, the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the 1994 Critics Circle Award for Best Musical. Considered by many to be the most charming musical ever written, She Loves Me is a warm romantic comedy with an endearing innocence and a touch of old world elegance.

Song: Try Me
Not the brightest employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. A confidant to Georg, he is an optimistic family man who looks like a huggable father. Resigned to this “monotonous” life and being a family man.
Employed at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. She is sexy and learned in the ways of romance, but longing for something more from the game of love. Gives the impression of a girl who has been around.
Song: I Resolve
A well respected and liked employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. Though he is considered dapper and occasionally charming, he is more of a shallow womanizer.
An established employee of Maraczek’s Parfumerie, he resembles a hopeless romantic. Shy, intelligent, personable, and soft spoken.
Song: She Loves Me
Owner of Maraczek’s Parfumerie. With a commanding presence, his dedication to the trade is rivaled only by his faithfulness to his wife. Genial-looking but quite capable of being difficult when the occasion arises.
Song: Days Gone By
The eager new employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. Despite being a skilled saleswoman, she easily becomes intimidated and nervous. Attractive, bright, and a lover of literature. Can hold a grudge.
Song: Ice Cream
Prim and proper, his life is about providing his guests a “romantic atmosphere,” a challenge amidst many disruptions. Strong comedic timing. Comedic tenor, doubles as Ensemble.
